Business model

How Orama makes money.

  • Usage

Apps pay for what they use. Usage fees pay for node capacity; Orama keeps a 30% platform fee.

From the paid beta, month 8
  • Per-app and team plans

A small monthly fee per app and per team, because every app runs on three machines.

    From the paid beta
  • Private networks

Organisations run Orama on their own servers with an annual support contract per node.

    First contract by month 18
  • Orama One

Hardware sold as your own private cloud box, on refundable pre-orders.

    First batch by month 18

Planned: about half of Railway's price[17][18]

on compute and data transfer, with three copies of your database for what others charge for one. Wallet sign-in is free.

Planned pricing, to be tested on the network before launch.

Business model

How RootWallet makes money.

  • Swaps & bridges

A small fee when users trade tokens or move them between chains.

    From public launch, Q1 2027
  • Buying crypto

A partner share when users buy with a card.

    After launch
  • Staking

    A commission on staking rewards.

    After launch
  • Premium and Pro

The free plan is a simple wallet. The full vault is Premium. Prices set at launch.

Hardware

Orama One, Founder Edition

Planned for this round
  • A ready-made mini PC with memory encryption, to run OramaOS
  • 100–300 units, built only against refundable pre-orders
  • Sold as your own private cloud box. Joining the network is optional, under a separate agreement
  • No earnings promises, ever

The custom Orama One design is funded by the next round, once OramaOS is proven in the field.

Why we win

Hard to copy.

  • The whole backend

Database, functions, storage, calls and push on one network. Decentralized rivals each do one piece.

  • Standard code

Node, Go and Next.js run as they are. No new language, unlike ICP.

  • No token

Customers pay in money for a service they use. No speculation, no token to prop up.

  • Keys and cloud together

Orama's command line signs in with RootWallet, and every app can embed it. Neither product is easy to copy alone.

  • Nothing in the cloud

RootWallet keeps every secret on the device. Cloud password managers would have to rebuild.

  • Already in use

AnChat runs its whole backend on Orama and gives every user a RootWallet.

Risks

What could go wrong, and our answer.

  • App data sits on other people's machines

Today every node is run by our team. OramaOS adds an encrypted disk with no remote login, then trust tiers let apps choose certified or EU-only nodes.

  • Big clouds are cheaper at scale

We don't sell against their price. We sell what they can't offer: no single owner, privacy by default, EU data residency.

  • Too much to build

We lead with three services (database and functions, real-time and calls, push), and the round pays a team of about seven: the three of us plus about four new engineers.

  • Hardware is expensive

This round buys a small, pre-order-funded first edition. The custom design waits for the next round.

  • A security incident

Independent audits of the network and the wallet are funded by this round. RootWallet never holds user funds.

  • A crypto downturn

Orama earns from developers, not crypto prices. RootWallet's Premium plan will earn in any market.

FAQ

Questions investors ask.

What exactly are you raising?

€1.5M in equity for one company that will own Orama Network and RootWallet. No token, no loans. The company is a Swiss AG in Zug, formed when the round closes, and both products' code and rights are assigned to it.

Why one company for two products?

They feed each other. RootWallet is how people sign in to Orama, and every app on Orama can give its users a RootWallet. One team, one legal setup, two ways to earn.

Is there a token?

No. This is an equity round and there is no token.

Who is behind it?

A team of three engineers, who built both products. Ask us for the full background.

When does revenue start?

Orama's paid beta opens 8 months after funding. RootWallet earns from its public launch in Q1 2027.

Why so little money compared with Supabase or Vercel?

The hard part is built and running. This round turns it into paying customers and proves the numbers for a larger round.

Are you selling nodes that earn money?

No. Orama One is a product: your own private cloud box. Joining the network is optional, and we make no earnings promises.

How is this different from Akash or ICP?

Akash sells compute only. ICP requires its own runtime and token. Orama is the whole backend for standard code, paid in money.

Is it open source?

Orama Network is open source under AGPL-3.0. RootWallet's source is available to investors on request.

Is RootWallet regulated?

RootWallet is non-custodial: users hold their own keys and funds, and it never takes custody of either.

Has it been audited?

Both products have been through internal security reviews. Independent audits are funded by this round.

Who could buy the company?

Cloud and infrastructure companies buy developer platforms, and wallet and payments companies buy wallet teams: Stripe bought Privy, Fireblocks bought Dynamic.
